Overview
A complete display build
The brief was to create a clean, robust freestanding display capable of presenting the customer’s Pod Point product in a retail environment.
The finished display brings together a machined MDF structure, reverse-printed PETG graphic panels, powder-coated mild-steel components and the customer-supplied Pod Point product.
DisplayMode coordinated the complete display build, combining our own manufacturing capabilities with selected specialist partners where required.
Design, in-house MDF machining, sourcing, preparation, assembly and final quality checks.

From product to finished display
One managed build, combining the work completed at DisplayMode with carefully selected specialist manufacturing partners.

Design & Development
The project begins with the customer-supplied product.
Our design team develops the display around the product, considering its mounting position, appearance, stability and how the finished unit will work in a retail environment.
Detailed production information is then prepared so that each component can be manufactured accurately and brought together during final assembly.

MDF Manufacture
The main structural panel is produced from black MDF.
At DisplayMode, the board is cut and machined to create the required shape and mounting features. The edges are then finished to give the display a clean, professional appearance before the graphic panels are applied.

Specialist Metalwork
The freestanding base uses fabricated mild-steel components.
These are produced for DisplayMode by one of our trusted metalwork partners to our specification and supplied with a durable powder-coated finish.
Working with selected specialist partners allows us to combine different manufacturing processes within a single project while maintaining control of the finished display.

Printed PETG Graphics
The branded outer faces are produced from reverse-printed PETG.
The printing is carried out by one of our trusted print partners. Reverse printing places the graphic behind the clear surface of the PETG, helping to protect the printed face while providing a clean, high-quality finish.
The completed graphic panels are then supplied to DisplayMode ready for assembly.

Graphic Application & Assembly
The printed PETG panels are carefully aligned and fixed to the prepared MDF structure. The powder-coated metal base is then assembled with the main display panel to create the freestanding unit.
This stage brings together the components produced both in-house and through our specialist supply partners.

Customer Product Integration
The Pod Point product itself is supplied to DisplayMode by the customer.
It is positioned and securely attached to the display using the mounting points incorporated during the design and manufacturing process.
DisplayMode is responsible for integrating the customer-supplied product into the display. The charging product itself is not manufactured by DisplayMode.

Final Inspection
Once assembled, the completed unit is inspected for:
- Graphic alignment
- Finish quality
- Secure product mounting
- Assembly quality
- Stability
- Overall appearance
After inspection, the finished display stands were prepared and delivered to the customer.
The result
One clean, coordinated display
The finished Pod Point display combines multiple materials and manufacturing disciplines within one clean freestanding unit.
It demonstrates DisplayMode’s ability to take a display from design through to finished assembly, while coordinating trusted specialist partners for processes such as printed graphics and metal fabrication.
This allows us to offer customers a complete display manufacturing solution while being clear about which specialist processes are delivered through our trusted supply partners.
